Johnson & Johnson prolongs the partnership with Special Olympics Switzerland

Since 2016, J&J is a national partner of Special Olympics Switzerland.
During the first 3 years of the partnership, J&J employees have had the opportunity to volunteer at different Special Olympics sporting events. At the National Summer Games in Geneva last year, more than 40 J&J volunteers participated.

The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in Switzerland is happy to announce that the partnership with Special Olympics has been prolonged and that the successful collaboration will continue!  Already in January next year, the National Winter Games are taking place in Villars, where more J&J employees will experience the unique atmosphere of the Special Olympics Games.

Bruno Barth, National Director of Special Olympics Switzerland, is very pleased to keep on working with J&J: “Johnson & Johnson is an extremely loyal and reliable partner that we can count on. We appreciate the genuine interest in our athletes and feel that this partnership is part of the company culture. Every commitment of J&J is executed with so much passion, soul and professionalism – be it within the corporate volunteering program for our Games, charity runs or when they invite our athletes for inhouse presentations. With activities like these, they make the world more inclusive every day and it is thanks to partners like J&J that we can continue to implement our strategy:  to make sport accessible to people with mental disabilities and work for their appreciation, acceptance and integration.”

Andrea Ostinelli, Chairman of the Swiss Leadership Team of Johnson & Johnson, is also very excited about the extension of this partnership: “Being a national sponsor of Special Olympics is not only a way of showing that we believe in the important mission of the organization. By giving our employees the chance to volunteer and engage with Special Olympics in various ways, we are aiming to foster a culture of inclusion where everyone is respected and treated equally, no matter our backgrounds, abilities or whatever makes us the unique individuals we all are. With the prolonged collaboration with Special Olympics, we are looking forward to continuing this important work.”
