Living the responsibility towards our society

Every year for a week, our employees swap their usual workplace – whether in production or in the office – for a job in a non-profit organization. The sixth Johnson & Johnson Community Week, held in the second week of September, was attended by over 630 employees from the various Johnson & Johnson companies in Switzerland. They were involved in more than 40 projects at a total of 10 locations in Switzerland. This corresponds to almost 3,000 hours of volunteer work.

Over the last six years, we have been organizing the Community Week in Switzerland. J&J employees can take part in various local projects and charitable organizations during working hours. The more than 40 projects range from forest work and integration projects to the transfer of specialist knowledge. The steadily increasing number of projects and our highly committed employees show that we take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously in order to foster a more sustainable world for everyone.

Social commitment in our DNA
Showing social responsibility and promoting inclusion, diversity and sustainability is part of our corporate culture. The Johnson & Johnson Credo encourages all employees to focus on people's needs and well-being in everything they do. Our social commitment is therefore not limited to the Community Week. Throughout the year, various charitable activities are organized or sponsored. "As a leading global healthcare company, it is our responsibility to actively give something back to the communities in which we live and work to have a positive impact. Employees at all levels bear this responsibility," says Emelie Dorlin, Community Impact Lead Switzerland.
