Unconscious Biases are everywhere. They are social stereotypes about a certain group of people that each of us form outside of our own conscious awareness, triggered by our brain making a quick judgement. Gender, appearance, ethnicity, profession, and many other characteristics – they all influence the assessments that we make of people.

Every year during the month of June, the LGBT+ community around the globe celebrates in a number of different ways the achievements of the LGBT+ history (LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other spectrums of sexuality). Switzerland has experienced a fundamental shift in values towards greater acceptance and inclusion of LGBT+ people over the last twenty years. However, conflict and prejudice is still a prevailing topic in and outside the LGBT+ community. There are different identities, orientations and beliefs. That’s why this year’s Zurich Pride motto is «Lass uns darüber reden» (Let’s talk about it). As a partner of Zurich Pride for the 5 th year in a row, we as Johnson & Johnson in Switzerland also continue the conversation and set a sign for equality, supporting SDG 10 (Sustainable Development Goal) towards reducing inequalities.
